G Project Design Studio is an independent studio led by Edison. Every project is his personally — from the first conversation to the final walkthrough — backed by trusted contractors and trade partners who handle the build.

Chiayi Liao (Edison)

NYC Interior Designer · Serving New York City & Long Island

Edison brings over 11 years of interior design experience across two markets. He began his career in Taiwan, where he spent 3 years working on residential and commercial interiors — gaining a rigorous foundation in space planning, material specification, and client-driven design before relocating to New York City.

In NYC, he went on to build 8+ years of hands-on experience in the city's residential renovation market, working as a senior interior designer at a design-build studio in Midtown Manhattan — leading design, procurement, and project management for high-end residential renovations. He currently also serves as Project Manager at a New York construction firm, keeping his understanding of how buildings get built, permitted, and inspected current, not theoretical.

Outside of interiors, Edison has applied the same design thinking to automotive customization — work that sharpens his eye for proportion, material contrast, and finish quality in ways that translate directly back to residential spaces.

G Project was founded on a simple idea: give clients one point of contact who understands design, procurement, and construction, and who coordinates the moving parts — so the client isn't left managing them alone.

Is the spend going where it matters? We prioritize durable materials, sound construction, and choices that stay relevant — so the budget is used thoughtfully and the result holds up well beyond move-in day.

Buildability

Can this actually be built — legally, structurally, within budget? Beautiful designs that fail permitting or collapse under contractor bids are not good designs. Buildability is non-negotiable.
