G Project Design Studio was founded to solve a problem that most NYC property owners face: the gap between design vision, procurement logistics, and construction reality. We close that gap — from initial sketch through final walkthrough.
Every project at G Project Design Studio is personally led by Edison — not handed to a junior designer after the first meeting.
Edison brings over 8 years of hands-on experience in New York City's residential renovation market. Before founding G Project Design Studio, he worked as Senior Interior Designer at Design and Build companies in Midtown Manhattan, where he led design, procurement, and project management for high-end residential renovations.
He currently also serves as Project Manager at a New York construction firm — meaning his understanding of how buildings actually get built, permitted, and inspected is current, not theoretical.
G Project was founded with a clear purpose: to offer clients a single point of contact who understands design, procurement, and construction — and can move seamlessly between all three without the client having to manage the handoffs themselves.
Most studios hand you a design and leave you to figure out the rest. We stay through every stage.
Space planning, 3D visualization, material selection, custom millwork — with a technical precision that comes from years of watching designs get built.
Direct vendor relationships and trade pricing on tile, stone, cabinetry, fixtures, and appliances — cost savings passed directly to the client.
Deep working knowledge of NYC DOB requirements, Co-op Alteration Agreements, and permit processes — built from experience, not reference materials.
On-site supervision and contractor management from demolition to punch list — maintaining quality, schedule, and budget accountability throughout.
Every renovation decision is evaluated through three lenses simultaneously.
Does it look and feel right? Is the proportion correct? Does the spatial sequence make sense for how the client actually lives? These questions come first — before budget, before timeline.
Does this renovation decision improve the property's value? Where does design spend generate the highest return in this specific market, building, and unit type? Every dollar should work harder.
Can this actually be built — legally, structurally, within budget? Beautiful designs that fail permitting or collapse under contractor bids are not good designs. Buildability is non-negotiable.
Whether you're starting a full renovation or just trying to understand what's possible — the first conversation is always free, and always with Edison directly.
We work across the full New York City metro area, with particular depth in Manhattan and Brooklyn residential renovation.
